In the early 1870’s fire devastated two of America’s greatest cities. Losses in life, property, and the complete destruction to major sections of these historic cities created widespread change in building codes and fire fighting techniques worldwide. Mrs. O’Leary’s cow allegedly caused the first, while one year later a random spark ignited one of the best kept secrets in American history - The Great Boston Fire. At the time, headlines across the nation decreed both fires accidental. Very few people knew the truth.
