It’s amazing sometimes how in the midst of frustration, you find amazing inspiration. Doing a bunch of chores Friday, I finally came to the realization of how I wish to end my book. Wasn’t thinking about the end of the book, just thinking how things were progressing and then eureka it was there!

If you could go back in time…

Coming to the conclusion of my manuscript, I’m definitely of the mind if I had the chance to go back in time, I’d choose the years 1868 – 1872 for the events after the Civil War as much as the two greatest fires in American History, the Chicago Fire and the Great Boston Fire. 🙂

What about you? What time(s) would you go back to? (Historically, not personally).

Back in time

Writing about the 1870’s I’m amazed at how much I’ve learned over the time span I’ve been working on in this book. Things like: Literally the same year I’m writing about is when Police Artist Sketching came about (I wanted to verify that they might have had it for one of my chapters, and lo and behold, it started that very same year), types of Fire Alarms which came out that same year, and so much more I’d probably give the book away.

The book has become a lesson in history as well as a fictional account OF the history. Very glad to be back at this.
